Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Teach students the fundamentals of English language arts, including grammar, composition, and literary analysis.
- Provide individualized tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support in their studies.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Incorporate technology and multimedia resources into lessons to enhance student engagement.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and share best practices in teaching methodologies.
- Stay updated on current trends in education and incorporate relevant research into lesson planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Experience in teaching English at the middle or high school level is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in journalism style writing, proofreading, and research methodologies.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to maintain an effective classroom environment.
- Experience in private school settings is a plus.
- Knowledge of linguistics is beneficial for enhancing language instruction.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor and inspire students.
