Nevada Gold Mines (NGM) is a joint venture between Barrick (61.5%) and Newmont (38.5%) that combined our significant assets across Nevada in 2019 to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world. The massive mining operation comprises eight mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities and hosts three of Barrick’s Tier One assets: Carlin, Cortez, and Turquoise Ridge. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Underground Reliability Maintenance Supervisor, the Underground Predictive Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:
- Collect and analyze data on all types of mobile and fixed equipment using predictive maintenance technologies; including but not limited to vibration analysis, oil analysis, diesel emission, infrared and ultrasonic
- Create and maintain databases for each technology
- Generate and distribute condition and follow up reports to all levels of management
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Proven safety record required
- Excellent attendance record required
- Previous training and experience with application of predictive maintenance technologies and associated software and hardware preferred
- Five (5) years mobile maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair all types of mobile equipment preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics required
- Computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, Along with SAP required
- Ability to schedule and prioritize workload required
- Demonstrate ability to perform the essential function of the job required
