Role Description
- NDOT is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist (PIO II) to serve as a leader and content developer for its digital presence to include NDOT's website and social media accounts. The incumbent will receive support from, and supervise, a multimedia team of two staff members. The Digital Communications Specialist will create engaging content, track metrics, develop strategies for different social media platforms, ensure accuracy of information, write content and ensure website ADA compliance. The incumbent will have exceptional writing skills and experience working with a CMS (i.e. WordPress, Granicus) and HTML. The Digital Media Specialist also interacts with the public on social media in a highly professional manner as a representative of NDOT. This position also involves posting content during rare emergencies with urgency. Utilizing knowledge of graphic design principles, the successful candidate will ensure the multimedia team creates high-quality designs for online and print.
