About the Role


NeuSpark PDS is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Administrator to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations.


The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing payroll, supporting employee benefits administration, maintaining payroll records, managing deductions, and serving as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to compensation.


This role is a strong fit for someone who is highly organized, discreet, deadline-driven, and comfortable working with sensitive employee information in a mission-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities


Payroll Processing


  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll, including wages, bonuses, and commissions.
  • Manage deductions for taxes, insurance premiums, retirement contributions, garnishments, and levies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely employee payments through direct deposit or other approved methods.
  • Track and maintain employee timesheets and attendance records.


Recordkeeping and Compliance


  • Maintain accurate employee records and update HR information systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports.
  • Support accurate and timely distribution of year-end tax documents, including W-2s.
  • Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations.


Employee Support


  • Provide professional and responsive support to employees regarding payroll-related questions.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.


Additional Responsibilities


  • Support benefits-related payroll administration as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate payroll and employee data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator, Payroll Specialist, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll administration, including relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with payroll software such as ADP, Paycom, or similar platforms is required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, human services, or service-focused organization is a plus.

Compensation


The salary range for this full-time, on-site position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
