What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Coordinator position at Neurosurgery/Neurologist?
Our organization is seeking an experienced Surgical Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the surgical schedule, coordinating with surgeons and other medical staff, and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for each procedure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. MUST have 2-3 years of surgical coordination experience .
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule surgeries and other medical procedures.
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information.
- Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure proper care for patients.
- Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed prior to surgery.
- Provide pre-operative instructions to patients and their families.
- Assist with post-operative care as needed.
- Provide patient education regarding the surgical procedure.
