We have multiple Medical Assistant positions at different locations.
Who We Are
Neuroscience & Spine Associates (NASA) is a patient-focused multi-specialty group practice specializing in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and pain management. We offer comprehensive services, including an MRI for diagnostic imaging, physical and occupational therapy, an office-based surgery suite, and a multitude of other services. Duties:
- Perform clinical tasks, including taking patient vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Provide medical administrative support, such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and coordinating referrals.
- Cleans exam rooms and keep exam rooms stocked with supplies
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist healthcare providers during patient visits.
- Collect and document patient information, including medical history and current symptoms.
- Assist with X-ray procedures and maintain X-ray equipment.
Experience:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
- Proficient in medical terminology and documentation.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical procedures.
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment.
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, temperature, and respiratory rate.
- Knowledge of medication administration techniques and dosage calculations.
- Proficient in performing basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring.
- Familiarity with medical administrative tasks, such as appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
