About the Job
The Therapy Awareness Representative (TAR) for the Altius System plays a pivotal role in driving therapy adoption through patient education and provider engagement. This role
combines strategic outreach, clinical support, and community engagement to
ensure patients and providers are informed and empowered to utilize the Altius
System effectively. The TAR will work closely with sales, marketing, and clinical teams to expand therapy awareness and support programming activities in provider offices.
Responsibilities
· Grow Altius system awareness through community engagement in an assigned geography.
· Develop and execute strategic therapy awareness plans aligned with company goals.
· Educate providers who service the amputee community and who treat phantom limb pain on the Altius therapy pathway.
· Conduct in-office presentations, lunch-and-learns, and community outreach programs to raise awareness to Altius as a therapy option in the healthcare community.
· Identify and cultivate relationships with referring physicians and healthcare providers.
· Organize and participate in community health events, seminars, and support groups to raise awareness on the Altius System.
· Collaborate with local advocacy organizations and patient networks to educate on the Altius system.
· Serve as a resource for patients navigating the therapy journey, including pre- and post-implant education.
· Assist provider offices with Altius System programming logistics and coordination.
· Provide on-site support to implanting physicians, staff, and patients during patient programming sessions as needed.
· Troubleshoot basic programming issues and escalate complex cases to clinical specialists.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and therapy adoption metrics.
· Prepare and submit territory plans, activity reports, forecasts, and impact analyses.
· Maintain CRM records and ensure compliance with company policies.
· Up to 75% travel within assigned territory required.
Qualifications
· Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, office staff, and community organizations.
· Knowledge of healthcare marketing strategies, referral development, and territory management.
· Ability to communicate clinical concepts clearly to both providers and patients.
· Experience in patient education, outreach, and advocacy; ability to connect with diverse patient populations.
· Ability to support education and troubleshooting in provider offices.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills; confident speaker and presenter.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree
· 2 years of experience in medical device sales, pharmaceutical sales, or healthcare marketing.
