What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor position at NeuroRestorative?
SUMMARY
- Provides assessments in the areas of mental status, personality, behavioral response patterns, relationships, and family interactions.
- Provides individual counseling and support services and family psychotherapy as appropriate to training and program participant needs.
- Facilitates/co-facilitates counseling groups.
- Participates in treatment planning with a trans-disciplinary team.
- Consults with staff, insurance provider, family, etc. about treatment recommendations and progress.
- Submits service summaries and billing slips for each program participant served, indicating objectives, strategies, and outcomes obtained. Completes daily billing summaries and turns them in to appropriate staff.
- Attends CCS in-house seminars as scheduled and/or appropriate. Attends weekly discipline meeting and meetings with supervisor(s) as necessary.
- Ensures evaluation, progress, and discharge reports on each program participant are completed in a timely manner. Ensures adherence to accreditation standards and ethics of confidentiality.
- Provides appropriate supervision and in-house activities for program participants as needed.
- Actively participates in Crisis Intervention System (Beeper Team).
- Performs other related duties and activities as required.
- Master's degree in a human services field
- Two years of experience
- Experience in Rehab, Sub-Acute, or neuro-trauma setting preferred.
- LCSW or LPC licensure required.
- Medium Work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
