Neurology One is seeking a Part-Time Prior Authorization Specialist to provide exceptional service to our doctors and patients by handling prior authorizations for treatments, imaging, and medications. This role is critical in ensuring our patients receive the care they need without unnecessary delays. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating with our medical and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Process and track prior authorizations for medications, procedures, and diagnostic imaging.
- Communicate with insurance companies to ensure approval for required services.
- Work closely with providers and medical staff to obtain necessary clinical documentation for authorization requests.
- Follow up on pending authorizations and resolve any insurance-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of authorization approvals and denials, updating patient charts accordingly.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments related to approved authorizations.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies regarding patient information.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
Experience & Qualifications
- Prior experience in prior authorizations, medical billing, or insurance verification is required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance guidelines.
- CPR certified (or willingness to obtain).
- HIPAA certified (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience with Practice Fusion or other Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office setting.
