Job Summary
Neurology and Sleep Medicine Associates is an out-patient medical practice. We are seeking a dynamic and professional Phone Operator to serve as the frontline communicator within our organization. In this vital role, you will manage all incoming and outgoing calls, ensuring seamless communication with to schedule patients. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of handling multiple phone systems with confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key part of our team, delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining smooth telephony operations. Experience working in medical office is required. Familiar with eClinicalWorks (ERM) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Answer all incoming calls promptly using multi-line phone systems and operator switchboards, directing calls accurately to appropriate departments or personnel
- Manage office phone systems efficiently, ensuring clear communication and proper call routing at all times
- Schedule patients on phone.
- Perform data entry tasks related to call logs, visitor records, and other clerical documentation using Microsoft Office tools
- Handle dispatching duties by relaying messages swiftly and accurately to ensure timely responses for urgent matters
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette by demonstrating courteous, clear, and professional communication at all times
- Support front desk operations by managing general inquiries, scheduling appointments, and performing light administrative duties
Skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse client needs effectively
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for data entry and record keeping
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on phone call management and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus for healthcare-related environments
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume phone communication with professionalism and efficiency
- Excellent typing skills combined with technical proficiency in data entry and clerical tasks
- Experience in front desk or office support roles, including dispatching and office phone management
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
