Position Summary
The Sleep Technologist at NeuroDiagnostic Laboratories ensures that every patient receives high quality testing and that their needs are met with the compassion and care. The individuals who are successful in this role are detail and team-oriented and are willing to engage to improve the operations of the department and the company.

Essential Functions
- Acquires polysomnographic data appropriately and accurately while documenting routine and significant events in alignment with high standards of care guidelines in A 2:1 patient to technologist setting.
- Creates a positive impression with each patient of a competent, caring and engaged healthcare technician
- Score tests according to accepted guidelines, including tests of others as necessary
- Participate in the training and sharing of knowledge with others in the organization
- Participate in community educational events as needed and appropriate
- Collaborate with leadership to ensure high standards of care and appropriate metrics are being attained and maintained on a consistent basis
- Solve challenges as they arise in a professional manner, seeking additional resources as needed
- Ensure leadership is informed of challenges or needs of the department to operate most efficiently and effectively to deliver high quality of care
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times—seeing the upside, rather than the downside in the situation
- Exceed established team metrics
- Work together with other team members to create and champion high quality customer care and living of the NeuroDiagnostic Laboratories' mission and vision
Minimum Requirements
Education—Must be a registered technician from a state licensed or nationally accredited educational facility in polysomnographic testing and analysis OR have 3 years' experience and are willing to become a certified technologist. Successful candidates possess knowledge of sleep operations and processes as well as the business implications that quality have on the organization. Current CPR or BCLS certification is required.
Experience—Previous three years of experience as a registered polysomnographic technologist.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities— Outstanding patient engagement skills are required for this role. Being team oriented is important to fit into the corporate culture.
