We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistant to support our clinic. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and has experience assisting with neurological and cardiovascular patient care.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
- Assist providers with neurological exams and procedures
- Prepare patients for diagnostic testing (EEG, EMG, etc.)
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, injections, and specimen collection
- Document patient information accurately in the EMR system
- Coordinate with providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Educate patients on medications, testing, and follow-up care
- Handle prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription requests
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent experience)
- Experience in neurology, cardiology, or internal medicine preferred
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Strong clinical, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities
