About The Role

Requirements
ETL Tester Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically required. Relevant certifications in ETL testing or data warehousing (e.g., ISTQB) may be beneficial.
- Proven experience as an ETL Tester or in a similar role, typically 2-5 years.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and technologies (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).
- Experience in testing data integration, data migration, and ETL processes in a data warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and SQL querying.
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to validate data transformations and integration.
- Knowledge of data quality concepts, data profiling, and data validation techniques.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks used in ETL testing.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for automation and validation tasks.
- Understanding of the ETL lifecycle, including extraction of data from various sources, transformation according to business rules, and loading into data warehouses or data marts.
- Knowledge of data modeling and schema design principles.
- Experience in test planning, test case design, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Ability to perform end-to-end data validation and reconciliation across different systems.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous testing.
