Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner located in Houston, TX. Full-time providers will be responsible for 12 to 13 (12-hour) shifts per month, or 3 (12-hour) shifts per week 8am to 8pm. Shared weekend coverage is a requirement. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing high-quality urgent care and IV therapy to patients. Day-to-day tasks include conducting patient assessments, diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries, administering IV infusions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. They will also educate patients about health management and treatment options, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience.
Qualifications
- Clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Experience in urgent care and IV therapy administration
- Minor injury care procedural skill profieciency such as suturing, othopedic splinting, I & D, toenail aversions, and IV catheter insertion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare team members
- Exceptional patient education and health management capabilities
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas
- Advanced practice certification from a recognized credentialing body
- CPR certification and ongoing professional development
