Title: Estate Planning Attorney

Responsibilities:
- Oversee & coordinate estate planning intake, plan formation, drafting, implementation
- Represent fiduciaries and beneficiaries in contested and uncontested trusts & estates proceedings, including preparation of filings and Surrogate’s Court appearances
- Support the trusts and estates department on property transfers
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication/responsiveness
- Contribute to business development initiatives, with the opportunity to build and grow a personal book of business
Requirements:
- 3 years of estate planning and/or trusts and estate litigation experience, from inception to completion
- Experience with fiduciary accountings
- Experience with preparing estate tax returns
- Strong client relations and interpersonal communication skills
- An openness to business development and cultivating a personal client base
It Would be a Bonus if You Have:
- Familiarity with RE transactions
- General litigation experience
- Tax law experience
- Commercial transactions experience (entity formation, operating agreements, etc.)
- An existing book of business
- A driver's license
