Roles & Responsibilities

About the role:

Lead Business Systems Analyst role is instrumental in leading due diligence and discovery sessions, collaborating closely with client cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into robust functional designs. This is a techno-functional role (subject matter expert), guiding the entire SDLC process from presales to delivery, ensuring our solutions are not just functional, but truly transformative. A key aspect of this role will be identifying and integrating generative AI capabilities to unlock new efficiencies and create unparalleled value for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Business analysis & solution design:

  • Lead and facilitate comprehensive due diligence and discovery sessions with client stakeholders, identifying core business problems and strategic opportunities.
  • Independently engage with client cross-functional teams to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements, translating them into clear and actionable user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
  • Design and map current ('as-is') and future ('to-be') business processes, workflows, and functional designs, ensuring optimal solution architecture and user experience.
  • Provide expert direction and strategic input to solution development teams throughout the presales and SDLC processes, acting as a critical link between business vision and technical execution.
  • Mentor and guide delivery teams on functional nuances, system integrations, user interface/experience best practices, key performance indicators (KPIs), and review solution demos for adherence to business objectives.
  • Collaborate with business users to develop comprehensive User Acceptance Test (UAT) cases and provide active support during UAT cycles, ensuring successful solution deployment.
  • Generative AI integration: Identify opportunities to embed Generative AI capabilities (e.g., natural language processing for data analysis, content generation, intelligent automation, predictive insights) into solution designs, enhancing efficiency and creating innovative user experiences.

Presales & consulting:

  • Serve as a techno-functional SME with a deep understanding of IT Systems, Tools, and Technologies, coupled with extensive business analysis and consulting expertise in the manufacturing after-market domain, specifically focusing on warranty management and related processes.
  • Actively support the sales process, engaging closely with prospective clients before and after the sale to understand their needs and present compelling solutions.
  • Partner with clients to define business requirements, map existing processes, reengineer workflows, and identify critical gaps for solution design and architecture development.
  • Perform engaging product demonstrations, participate in building impactful proof of concepts, and proactively identify cross-sell opportunities with existing customers.

Experience & Education:

  • 5 years of progressive overall work experience, with a minimum of:
  • 3 years in the IT Solutions/Services industry within a Business Analysis leadership role.
  • Proven industry consulting experience is a significant advantage.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise custom applications for manufacturing industries (e.g., Automotive, HVAC, construction equipment, High-Tech, consumer goods, industrial/heavy/mining equipment).
  • In-depth knowledge of critical domain areas including warranty management, reverse logistics, and supply chain.
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects involving onsite discovery, requirements gathering, analysis, and functional design.
  • Strong understanding of agile and iterative software development methodologies.
  • A keen willingness to learn and rapidly ramp-up on new business models and industry segments in the post-sales environment.
  • An MBA with a specialization in operations/logistics/supply chain is preferred but not mandatory.

Generative AI Expertise (Required):

  • Understanding of generative AI concepts: Solid foundational knowledge of Generative AI models (e.g., LLMs), their capabilities, limitations, and ethical considerations.
  • AI Application identification: Proven ability to identify and articulate use cases where Generative AI can drive significant business value within enterprise solutions.
  • Prompt engineering familiarity: Basic understanding of prompt engineering principles for interacting with and optimizing Generative AI models.
  • Data strategy for AI: Awareness of the data requirements and strategies for training and fine-tuning Generative AI models.
  • Collaboration with AI engineers/data scientists: Ability to effectively communicate business needs and collaborate with AI engineering teams to implement Generative AI solutions.

Desirable Certifications:

  • IIBA certifications for business analysts (CCBA, CBAP).
  • Agile certifications (PSM-1, PSM-2, CSM).
