Construction Yard & Shop support

Network Infrastructure Inc. has an opening for a full-time Yard & Shop support to expand our Bronx, NY location. This person is responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly shop and yard, sort parts, load and unload material. In addition, this person performs duties, such as furnishing tools, materials, and supplies to other workers on various job sites; cleaning work area, machines, and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Transfers tools, components, parts, equipment and supplies to and from work trucks and other areas
• Safely operate fork lift in busy areas
• Deliver material/equipment to various job site using company provided vehicles
• Assists with shop and facility clean up and maintenance
• Maintain basic logs related to maintenance schedules, deliveries and time
• Provides assistance to other departments as requested
• Safely load and unload utility trucks
• Clean and maintain equipment
• Clean and maintain yard, shop, and other areas, as assigned
• Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Dependable, self-starter, and hard-working
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment making critical decisions
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record
• Maintains safe and organized work area
• Able to operate required equipment safely (examples include forklift, sprayers, equipment)

An exceptional candidate will possess the following;

• Forklift certified
• OSHA 10
• CDL
• Leadership skills
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Knowledge of utility construction

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
