What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Development Coordinator position at Network Human Services?
Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week (Full-Time)
Scope of Responsibility:
Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing staff training and workforce development initiatives to ensure high-quality, compliant, and person-centered services in compliance with all Network and DDS (Department of Developmental Services) requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required. Nursing degree and/or advanced degree preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
· Experience in staff development, training, or leadership role preferred.
· Experience in DDS agencies is desirable.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and other tools required to create and present training materials.
· Knowledge of DDS regulations, training requirements, and compliance standards
· Obtain and maintain all required certifications to include, but not limited to FA/CPR, PMT, Bi-Annual Inservice.
· Effective communication, presentation, and organizational skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Valid Connecticut Driver’s License and eligibility for Network’s auto insurance.
Job Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff in training and development initiatives.
· Supports onboarding and integration of new employees.
· Assist leadership in evaluating staff competencies and performance improvement needs.
· Collaborate with leadership to assess training needs and develop new hire orientation, annual training, and other ongoing training programs to align with regulatory and operational needs.
· Create a training calendar and coordinate all necessary training with other departments.
· Provide certification training, including but not limited to, CPR, First Aid, and PMT
· Implement training programs in accordance with DDS guidelines and regulations, including abuse and neglect, person-centered support, behavioral supports, safety protocols, incident reporting, and documentation standards.
· Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
· Participate in ongoing training, in services and staff meetings, as necessary.
· Review and ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
· Other responsibilities as deemed necessary
Salary : $35 - $37
