Your Role Overview:
The Senior Engineer will perform maintenance and administration of the LoanIQ application from Finastra, running as “FMS” (Finastra Managed Services) - a cloud-based version of LoanIQ. The position supports the front, middle and back-office business lines that use LoanIQ.
Your Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and support of LoanIQ, including account administration and user profile maintenance.
- Support and interaction with Business Lines that use LoanIQ. Assistance with problem resolution and general inquiries.
- Interaction with the Finastra helpdesk as needed for research and problem resolution.
- Responsible for coordinating with Finastra re. scheduled patches, ad-hoc patches and system upgrades: This will require ITD unit testing and coordination with users for UAT. This will also require balancing user activity with Finastra support. Three environments will come into play: UAT, pre-PROD and PROD.
- Future API development and support when we begin to implement interfaces to other systems. This may include cloud-based systems as well as on-prem legacy systems.
- Developing and deploying SQL-based data exchange between LoanIQ and other systems.
- Interaction and coordination with third party vendors who assist with LoanIQ implementation and deployment. Responsible for ensuring a smooth knowledge transfer upon vendor exit.
- Close interaction with other members of ITD. This includes knowledge-sharing/cross-training as well as working out the technical details for interfaces to legacy systems.
- Additional responsibilities within the ITD Application Section may include:
- Responsible for development, maintenance and enhancement of Bank systems, both internally developed and 3rd party.
- Advises and assists end users in using software packages and explaining how to better utilize existing software.
- Participates in new projects and cooperates with other project / department members.
- Responsible for writing and maintaining software program documentation and procedure manuals.
- Provides necessary migration for existing computer applications.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Your Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with three years of relevant work experience in the financial sector.
- Proficiency MS SQL and data transfer
- API development and deployment
- Basic business knowledge of financial instruments, wholesale banking, capital markets, lending, and market risk analysis preferred. SWIFT experience is a plus.
- Basic programming knowledge / experience with MSOffice (Excel, Access) desirable.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of the LoanIQ application is required, including the user interfaceunderlying database schema and table relationships, and issue resolution related to LoanIQ batch run.
- Experience with Finastra’s reporting tool, DataNet (a branded instance of IBM Cognos), would also be advantageous.
- Knowledge of the Finastra API universe is preferred.
- Possesses SQL skills with a focus on bulk data transfers between LoanIQ and other SQL databases.
- Broad banking product knowledge with a focus on agented and non-agented (bilateral) loans is a plus.
Salary : $135,000 - $150,000
