Optical Test Technician
Job Overview
As an Optical Test Technician, you’ll test optical transceivers using network switches and specialized equipment to ensure they meet industry and company standards. Your key tasks include coding transceivers, running switch tests to verify proper coding and data flow, logging results, and reporting any issues to the appropriate team members.
Responsibilities
- Code and test optical transceivers to meet daily production targets and assigned test projects.
- Update sales orders, code databases, and documentation (e.g., travelers) promptly and accurately.
- Maintain fully functional and updated switches at your assigned workstation.
- Perform qualification tasks following provided Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Access necessary information for daily tasks via the Engineering Sharepoint.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with electronics or test equipment is a plus.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Eagerness to learn new processes and skills quickly.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Clear communication skills for documenting results and collaborating with colleagues.
