Network Design Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and technically versatile Senior Systems Engineer to support clients with high-level server, infrastructure, security, consulting, as well as ticket escalation from our Help Desk. The Senior Systems Engineer will work with our clients to identify their problems and resolve them, both onsite and remote. This role demands deep expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate independently while influencing technical direction at a leadership level.The Senior Systems Engineer normally works at client locations in the Greater Sacramento Area under minimal supervision. An ability to work independently with access to all the company resources is very important. This position is primarily out of the office, in a client-facing role.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement Azure services, including SQL, SSO, 365 security, and VDI access.Manage Intune deployments, device management, and Teams Phone configurations (call plans, routing).Oversee Office 365 migrations, ensuring proper tenant setup and conditional access configuration.Build and expand VMware clusters, including host sizing, resource allocation, and hybrid infrastructure planning.Engage directly with clients to identify needs, propose solutions, and drive interest in services and implementations.Collaborate with internal helpdesk and technical teams, occasionally handling escalated tickets.Operate with minimal supervision, thriving in a flexible, problem-solving environment.Ideal Candidate Profile:Proven track record with at least three consecutive roles aligned with this job's scope, ideally with 3 years in each.Demonstrated depth across infrastructure, VDI, and cloud technologies.Strong leadership presence and ability to influence technical strategy.Skilled in asking the right questions to uncover client needs and deliver tailored solutions.Comfortable working in a dynamic, non-rigid structure with autonomy and accountability.Experience designing and scaling hybrid environments, including host characteristics and resource planning.Preferred Technical Skills:VMware Horizon View (multiple large-scale deployments)VMware clustering and SAN configurationMicrosoft Intune and Teams PhoneAzure architecture and service designOffice 365 infrastructure and securitySQL Server, SSO, and VDI accessConditional Access and tenant configurationDesired ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of current, hands-on, experience in the same or similar role.Company DescriptionNDA is a network integration consulting firm servicing clients in the greater Sacramento area since 1997. Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
