What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual (AV) Technician position at Network Cabling Services?
What You’ll Do
- Install and configure audio, video, and control systems including video conferencing setups, equipment racks, and AV furniture.
- Run and terminate structured cabling through walls, ceilings, and floors.
- Mount displays, projectors, speakers, and lifts on a variety of structures.
- Perform equipment testing and system verification for optimal performance.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and work orders to complete installs or service calls.
- Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices.
- Travel as needed for on-site installations and client support.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of AV or structured cabling installation experience.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and ready to learn new technologies.
