About the Role
Netwatch North America is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner (or HR Generalist) to support our business leaders across our organization. The position is a strategic partner to leadership, supporting organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and compliance across California and multi-state operations. This role oversees employee relations, including investigations and performance matters, and manages key HR programs such as benefits and leave administration. Partnering closely with leaders, the position ensures consistent, compliant execution of HR policies and initiatives while fostering a positive, accountable, and engaged workplace culture aligned with company values.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to provide day-to-day HR guidance on employee relations, compliance, and best practices.
- Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Oversee Leave of Absence programs (FMLA, CFRA, PFL) and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, with a focus on California requirements.
- Support consistent application of HR policies and coach managers on effective people management practices.
- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of HR programs and initiatives.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including new hire enrollment, Open Enrollment, and Qualifying Life Events (QLEs)
- Maintain accurate and compliant benefits data within the HRIS and support ACA-related audits and reporting.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries, providing timely, employee-focused support.
- Assist with the implementation and communication of benefits programs to enhance the overall employee experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (SHRM‑CP/PHR preferred)
- 5 years of progressive HR experience, including experience supporting managers in a business partner or generalist capacity.
- Experience administering and managing Leave of Absence programs (including FMLA, CFRA, and PFL), ensuring full compliance with applicable laws.
- Experience supporting employee relations, benefits administration, and Leave of Absence programs.
- Strong knowledge of employment law (federal and California) to include, FMLA/CFRA/PFL, FLSA, and ACA
- Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and problem‑solving skills.
- HRIS proficiency and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to travel up to 10%
