Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stock replenishment
- Stock shelves and organize inventory to ensure product availability
- Handle cashiering duties including cash handling, retail math, and balancing registers
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Assist with phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries
- Support supervising staff in managing daily store operations when needed
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos is a plus
- Ability to handle cash handling accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Supervising experience is desirable but not required; leadership qualities are a plus
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not mandatory
- Professional phone etiquette and effective communication skills are essential
