What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Consultant position at Netsmart?
Responsible for collaborating with clients to configure data, integrations, and system components across Netsmart’s software solutions and third party systems in pre production and production environments. The Technical Consultant designs and configures EHR forms, reports, interfaces, and workflows while consulting with clients on solution design. This role partners closely with engineering, vendors, and internal teams to translate business and clinical requirements into effective, integrated technical solutions and to support successful client implementations.

Responsibilities
- Implement technically focused solutions for multiple Electronic Health Record (EHR) software solutions.
- Design and develop forms, reports, interfaces and other related system components.
- Consult with clients on designs related forms, reports and interfaces.
- Support rollout of new solutions to clients, assisting with technical setup/configuration, data transfer testing protocol, and data transfer validation.
- Collaborate with engineering by providing feedback and examples on how to or improve code for logging, monitoring, altering, analytics, process improvements, etc.
- Leads client and 3rd party vendor calls to drive data mapping elements – help translate and articulate requirements between systems.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, information Systems Technology, Data Analytics or similar.
- Equivalent 2 years of work experience in lieu of degree
- At least 1 year of health care information technology or systems management implementation or consulting working experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask on projects work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to problem solve design and programming issues.
- Experience with electronic health records.
- Knowledge of HL 7 based interfaces.
- Potential travel 20% of the time as needed
- Position may at times require extended or irregular hours outside of traditional office hours to support clients and projects across multiple time zones and any required travel.
