Job Title: - Datacenter Technician
Location:- Austin, TX (onsite)
Role Type: - 12 Months contract (Possible extension/ Conversion)
Job Description
Technician responsible for supporting the deployment of NPI (New Product Introduction) engineering projects involving AMD IP, including Silicon, Hardware, and Software components, as well as debugging AMD server hardware infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to technical teams across multiple disciplines and geographic locations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product planning, development, deployment, and validation activities.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain NPI server products while working closely with engineers and contractors.
- Track project progress and provide status updates against program objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist with debugging, validation, and troubleshooting of server hardware and infrastructure issues.
Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data center system deployment, software deployment, and validation processes.
- Familiarity with testing tools, methodologies, and defect tracking systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be flexible enough to work under raised flooring in data center environments as needed.
Experience / Education:
- 0–2 years of experience in the high-tech industry.
- Relevant degree or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Confluence, and Microsoft SharePoint.
