Responsibilities:
- Responsible for purchasing small component parts, hard drives, cables, and other electronic components from approved suppliers.
- Maintain familiarity with standard distribution suppliers and ensure timely procurement of products and services from pre-selected sources.
- Utilize MRP systems and purchase order (PO) systems to support purchasing activities and ensure accurate order placement.
- Issue releases against established blanket purchase orders and monitor supplier commitments.
- Track and provide updates on delivery schedules, order status, and potential delays.
- Prepare, maintain, and update purchasing reports, documentation, and files.
- Provide support to Buyers and Section Managers with routine purchasing activities and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve purchasing-related issues.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience and Education:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of direct purchasing/procurement experience.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, systems, and procedures.
- Experience with electronic components, including small parts, cables, and hardware components, is preferred.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and purchase order management processes.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to manage supplier relationships and coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders.
