Tasks And Responsibilities
- Hire and manage the performance of software engineering teams based on delivery outcomes
- Coach and mentor software engineering teams, maximizing the abilities of each team member to reach their fullest potential and meet their individual and organizational goals
- Ensure the team is appropriately skilled to achieve regular delivery and support of owned applications (through hiring and upskilling)
- Collaborate across the organization for “one-team” initiatives that require multiple groups to deliver.
- Create baseline assessment and path toward maturity for testing, automation and AI initiatives
- Ensure proper priority of business value, to include technology hygiene and risk
- Accountable for the stabilization, resilience, and technical hygiene of relevant applications
- Influence and drive delivery of technical solutions in an Agile environment (TDD, CI/CD) with a focus on continuous improvement of process, speed to market and roadmap priorities alignment
- Lead and drive engineering, architecture, and development teams to define and influence technical direction for relevant applications
- Support mission critical (24x7) applications with the ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement reducing production outages/incidents while driving stability and reliability
- Manage vendor relationships including the adherence of delivery commitments and adherence to internal standards

- 8–10 years of software engineering experience solving complex technical problems, including leadership roles in mid- to large-scale organizations.
- Proven success leading technology teams, delivering strategic initiatives, and managing ambiguity and change.
- Strong people-leadership skills with a focus on developing teams and supporting customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain complex concepts in clear, simple terms for diverse audiences, including executives.
- Strong negotiation, facilitation, and influencing skills, with a history of effective cross-functional collaboration under tight deadlines.
- Highly organized, with strong project- and time-management abilities.
- Proficient in React, React Native, Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Java.
- Experience building cloud-native applications and microservices using AWS (S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, PostgreSQL, Lambda, Step Functions, GraphQL, REST APIs, EventBridge).
- Hands-on experience delivering Infrastructure as Code using CDK and Serverless frameworks.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead and drive AI-based initiatives for productivity improvement.
- Provide end-to-end technology support, including requirements gathering, solution design, architecture reviews, and cybersecurity approvals.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee product implementation.
