World Language and ESL Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Spanish and ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to inspire language learners of diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative teaching methods and learning technology tools.
• Deliver engaging lessons in both Spanish and English, utilizing effective classroom management strategies to maintain an inclusive learning environment.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and informal assessments.
• Provide individualized support through tutoring sessions, mentoring, and tailored instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
• Incorporate principles of literacy education, linguistics, and creative writing to enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and educational initiatives to improve program quality.
• Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral management efforts in accordance with educational policies.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of curriculum development.
• Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and working effectively with students across various age groups.
• Expertise in language instruction for both ESL learners and native Spanish speakers, including literacy education and bilingual education strategies.
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms, research methods, and instructional design principles to enhance teaching effectiveness.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging students, mentoring peers, and collaborating with educational staff.
• Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple classes, assessments, and administrative responsibilities efficiently.
• Experience with standardized testing preparation, and special education accommodations, is a plus.

Pay: $61,695.00 - $101,020.00 per year
