Position Summary
As a Telecom Network Engineer at NetCarrier, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust telecom network infrastructures that support our voice and data services. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability, and optimal performance across our customer and internal networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Implementation
- Customer Circuit ordering and follow-up
- Configuration and Support for customer network deployments
- Operations & Support
- Handle Tier 3 escalations for data-related issues and customer network configurations.
- Interface with third-party vendors for customer deployments
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency, throughput, and reliability issues.
- On Call Escalations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or related field. or 2 years of experience in telecom or network engineering.
- Experience in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls. PFSense / Adtran / Cisco / Ubiquiti
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Certifications and Experience
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- CompTIA Network
- Experience with Network monitoring software. Nagios, Grafana, etc.
- Basic Unix/Linux knowledge. Manipulating Files, Updating Packages, etc.
