- Maintain product hierarchies, attributes, descriptions, specifications, categorization, and related product fields within CMS/catalog systems.
- Masterful Data Management:
- Work extensively in Excel and large supplier/product data files, standardizing, cleansing, mapping, and validating information for system loads and customer requirements.
- Ensure data integrity through detailed review, reconciliation, and validation processes, identifying discrepancies before they reach customers.
- Collaborative Catalog Operations:
- Partner with Web, IT, Supplier Management, Pricing, Customer Service, and Sales to resolve product-data issues and support catalog requirements.
- Gather and reconcile product information from supplier files, manufacturer websites, and third-party data sources, identifying missing or conflicting information.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement enhancements to product-data enrichment and catalog maintenance processes, serving as a resource for data-related issues.
- Review, recommend, and improve catalog data management processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
Aligning and Collaborating Internally
Directly reporting to the Catalog Team Manager, your role is not insular but interconnected, requiring synergy with IT, Customer Service, and Sales Teams.
Competencies
- Analytical Prowess: Your ability to work through large datasets, identify patterns or discrepancies, and turn findings into actionable solutions is paramount.
- Problem Solving: Your ability to investigate data issues, trace root causes, and determine practical solutions will be highly valued.
- Systems Aptitude and Continuous Learning: You are comfortable learning new systems and tools and understanding how data moves across them.
- Intrinsic Team Spirit: You enhance our collective strength by balancing individual and team responsibilities.
- Judicious Decision-Making: Your sound and informed judgments will support product-data accuracy and effective catalog management.
