Role name: Web Tech Manager, Web Maintenance Pod

Role and responsibilities:
Websites owned: Client's guest-facing site, currently running on Supernova, the modern target platform (the same platform Oceania and Regent are eventually migrating to)
Location: Onsite Miami, FL, reports to Web Tech Lead, leads a pod of 6-8 engineers including nearshore and offshore
Role summary: Technically credible full-stack leader, able to personally read code, debug, and jump into escalations, fixing any critical issues when needed, while owning release readiness and day-to-day delivery for the pod, coordinating offshore and nearshore team and helping them grow
Key responsibilities:
- Own the pod's incident and enhancement queue end to end, from intake through deployment and closure
- Personally investigate and diagnose hard production issues, reading code and logs rather than routing every question to a developer
- Drive release readiness and deployment sign-off across QA, staging, and production
- Guide, mentor, and balance workload across the pod's developers and QA engineers
- Act as the client's day-to-day technical point of contact, translating business priorities into engineering execution
- Partner with SRE/NOC on incident triage and drive root-cause follow-up on recurring issues
- Report status, risk, and escalations up to the Web Tech Lead
- Own production performance budgets and collaborate with SRE on alerting thresholds
- Manage technical debt prioritization alongside feature and incident work
- Own capacity planning, sprint forecasting, and on-call rotation management
- Help PO on CAB/change management for production deployments
- Coordinate cross-pod handoffs with O&R and shared service teams (NVS, Scala services, infrastructure)
- Keep runbooks, architecture diagrams, and onboarding documentation current
Must Have: Vue.js 3, TypeScript, Scala (Play Framework), AWS RDS (PostgreSQL), Node.js / BFF patterns, Kubernetes / container orchestration, CI/CD pipeline management (Jenkins / ArgoCD), Git / GitHub Enterprise, full-stack debugging across frontend and backend, run-the-business production maintenance experience, client-facing technical , Agile/Scrum delivery, Jira
