Title: Time & Attendance (T&A) Analyst
Duration: 06 months contract
Location: Rahway, NJ 07065 (Hybrid)

Shift: Standard Business Hours

Position Summary
• The Time & Attendance (T&A) Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance across US & Puerto Rico non-exempt employees.
• Partner with cross-functional teams including HR, IT, Finance, Legal, and vendors to support payroll and T&A operations.
• Execute end-to-end payroll and T&A processes including validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Support system integrations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across payroll operations.

Responsibilities
• Process regular payroll runs (biweekly) end-to-end ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Process and reconcile time, attendance, and payroll data including wages, overtime, retro adjustments, deductions, and final payoffs.
• Execute payroll validation activities including data gathering, pre-run validation, T&A checks, approvals, and post-run reconciliation.
• Audit timecards and T&A entries; investigate and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Maintain payroll and time records to support audits, reporting, and internal controls.
• Generate and distribute standard and ad-hoc payroll and T&A reports.
• Serve as point of contact for payroll and T&A inquiries and escalations.
• Validate data integrity across HRIS, T&A, and payroll systems; investigate exceptions and coordinate corrections.
• Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and testing (UAT) activities.
• Maintain SOPs, controls, and audit documentation to support SOX compliance.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
• Support payroll-related projects including system migrations and year-end activities.

Qualifications

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Experience:
• 3 years of payroll, time & attendance, or HRIS support experience
• Hands-on experience with payroll and T&A systems preferred
• Experience supporting payroll audits, SOX controls, or internal control frameworks

Skills:
• Working knowledge of payroll and T&A concepts including wage calculations, overtime rules, and deductions
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
• Experience with payroll and HRIS systems such as ADP/EV6, Workday, UKG, E-Time, and ServiceNow
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
• Ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain payroll calculations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Skills:
• Advanced Excel (macros, Power Query)
• SQL or data analysis tools
• Experience supporting system implementations, integrations, or migrations
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
