What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sourcing Specialist position at Net2Source (N2S)?
We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support large-scale capital and onsite services projects within a highly regulated nuclear energy environment.
This role is part of an established sourcing team and will be responsible for managing end-to-end sourcing activities, from intake through contract execution and supplier performance management.
This is a high-impact role offering exposure to complex, enterprise-level procurement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate sourcing requests from internal stakeholders
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for complex projects
- Lead sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, competitive bids)
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms
- Perform supplier risk assessments and due diligence
- Manage purchase orders and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Oversee supplier performance and implement recovery plans as needed
- Maintain accurate contract records and documentation (life-of-plant retention)
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Construction Management, or related field
- Experience in strategic sourcing or procurement (not just logistics or transactional purchasing)
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management
- Experience supporting large, complex projects or capital initiatives
- Strong ability to manage workload independently and prioritize tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in regulated industries (energy, utilities, oil & gas, construction, etc.)
- Familiarity with nuclear or power generation environments
- SAP experience (strongly preferred)
- Experience with sourcing tools such as Coupa or similar platforms
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or equivalent certification
