Job Description

The SAP VIM SME will be responsible for providing production support, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance for SAP Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) integrated with OpenText. The role operates within an AMS support model and requires close coordination with offshore teams to resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within defined SLAs.

Key Responsibilities

Incident & Problem Management

• Monitor, analyze, and resolve SAP VIM-related incidents and problems within SLAs
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to invoice processing, workflows, and OpenText integration

Change & Enhancement Management

• Gather requirements, design, and implement SAP VIM enhancements and configurations
• Work on change requests related to invoice automation, business rules, and validations

System Configuration & Customization

• Configure SAP VIM including DP document types, workflows, business rules, and exception handling
• Perform enhancements using ABAP, BAPIs, and OpenText customizations as required

Integration & Interface Support

• Ensure seamless integration between SAP VIM, OpenText, and SAP ECC/S/4HANA modules (FI, MM, AP)
• Support EDI/XML invoice processing and third-party vendor integrations

Performance Optimization & Monitoring

• Conduct performance tuning and analysis to optimize invoice processing efficiency
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in workflows and document processing

Testing & Validation

• Perform unit testing, SIT, and support UAT for enhancements and issue fixes
• Validate invoice automation scenarios, duplicate checks, and approval workflows

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with security policies, SOX requirements, and audit guidelines
• Support system upgrades, patches, and OpenText/VIM version updates

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business users, functional consultants, and offshore teams
• Provide user training and maintain technical and functional documentation

Support Model & Tools

• Handle Incidents, Service Requests, and Problems via ServiceNow
• Work in an AMS support environment
• Coordinate and align with offshore (India) teams
• Ensure timely responses and SLA adherence

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP VIM and OpenText
• Experience supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments
• Knowledge of FI, MM, and Accounts Payable processes
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing and AMS support model
• Understanding of EDI/XML invoice processing
• Working knowledge of ABAP and BAPIs
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
