Title: Sr. Inventory Analyst
Location: Houston, TX
Contract length: 12 months
Payrate: $70-$80
About the Role
We are seeking an Inventory Analyst to support day-to-day supply, inventory, and purchasing activities across client's global supply chain. In this role, you will maintain material availability by monitoring supply strategies, executing site-to-site inventory balancing, and performing detailed inventory analysis. You will also ensure high data integrity through consistent reporting and manage the full purchase order lifecycle to secure on-time deliveries
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field
● 3 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing and inventory analysis (internships acceptable)
● Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic data analysis)
● Experience with ERP systems (SAP, etc.) preferred
● Basic understanding of supply chain and inventory concepts (lead time, safety stock, turns)
● Strong attention to detail and ability to execute repeatable processes accurately
● Good communication skills for working with internal teams and suppliers
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on commitments
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Analysis & Reporting
● Run recurring reports to track inventory levels, excess & obsolete (E&O), and shortages across global hubs
● Monitor inventory against targets (DOH, turns, safety stock) and flag variances to senior team members
● Evaluate supply plans to manage inventory balancing across sites prior to E&O reporting
● Maintain and update dashboards and data files (Excel / BI tools) with accurate, timely information
● Perform root cause analysis on inventory imbalances (excess, shortages, slow-moving stock)
● Support monthly inventory reviews by preparing data and highlighting key changes Operational Support for S&OP
● Provide data inputs for S&OP and supply reviews (inventory position, risks, gaps)
● Track and report key metrics such as inventory turns, service levels, and aging
● Follow up on action items from planning and inventory review meetings
