Title: Genetic Counselor
Location: Portland, OR 97225
Duration: 26 Weeks Contract (Strong Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Day 4x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00); Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
Pay Range: $1,700 - $1,800/week (Blended)

This role involves working closely with a Medical Geneticist (MD) to guide patients through prevention strategies and oncology-related care.

- Outpatient Clinic
- Masters Degree in Genetic Counseling Required
- Counselor will support Genetic Counseling, Genetic Screening, and High Risk Patient Management for Heredity Cancer/conditions. Patients are supported through prevention as well as Oncology initiatives.
- Counselor will as a consultant/resource for patients and physicians. Counselor will be in a supporting role working under Medical Geneticist (MD).
- No weekends or on-call requirements.
- Required Experience: 1 year of experience dealing with genetic disorders including: cancer risk assessment, ordering and interpreting genetic test results, and providing psychosocial assessment and support.
- Preferred Experience: 1 year working with patients at risk for hereditary cancer.
- Will this traveler need to float between like units? No
