About the Job
We’re looking for an Internet Installation Technician to join our team in Reno to cover our weekend shifts (part time and full time options available).
This is a hands-on field position. Most days you’ll be out installing and servicing internet connections at homes and businesses throughout the Northern Nevada area.
The work includes mounting wireless equipment, running Ethernet and other cabling, installing and configuring routers and Wi-Fi equipment, testing connections, and troubleshooting when something isn’t working the way it should.
You’ll also spend a lot of time working directly with customers. We’re looking for someone who can be friendly, professional, and explain things without making them unnecessarily complicated.
You don’t need to know everything about networking on day one. We can teach the right person a lot of the technical side. Being dependable, comfortable working with your hands, willing to learn, and taking pride in your work matters just as much to us.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing internet service at residential and business locations
- Mounting outdoor wireless equipment and running Ethernet cabling
- Installing and configuring routers and Wi-Fi equipment
- Testing connections and troubleshooting basic network problems
- Working with ladders, hand tools, drills, and other installation equipment
- Keeping cabling and installations clean and professional
- Explaining the installation and equipment to customers
- Documenting completed work and communicating with our operations team
- Driving to customer locations throughout the Reno/Sparks area

- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
Some experience with networking, structured cabling, wireless internet, telecom, low-voltage work, or work at another ISP is required. Basic familiarity with things like IP addresses, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi is also helpful.
