We are now looking for a Software Engineering Leader to lead our engineering organization and help shape the next chapter of Net-Inspect.
The Opportunity
In Net-Inspect’s top engineering role, you will:
- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of software developers and QA engineers
- Own the architecture, reliability, scalability, and security of a mission-critical global SaaS platform

- Translate complex aerospace/defense and regulatory requirements into elegant, secure, and reliable technical solutions

What You’ll Do
Engineering Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop Net-Inspect’s team of software developers and QA engineers
- Build a high-performance, high-trust engineering culture
- Conduct performance reviews, define goals, and support career growth
- Lead by example with strong engineering standards and architectural discipline
- Recruit and hire outstanding technical talent
Architecture & Technical Oversight
- Maintain a deep technical understanding of Net-Inspect’s cloud architecture across Azure Government and Azure Commercial
- Guide architectural decisions and technical design reviews
- Drive modernization, technical debt reduction, and platform scalability
- Ensure the platform supports rapid delivery without compromising security or stability
- Drive adoption of technologies that enable our AI/LLM initiatives and next-generation platform capabilities.
Execution & Delivery
- Lead weekly sprint planning, prioritization, and release management
- Keep the backlog healthy and well-aligned with business goals
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality features and enhancements
- Partner with Product and the Executive Team to align engineering work with company strategy
Security
- Maintain strong working knowledge of FedRAMP Moderate, NIST 800-53 Rev 5, and related standards
- Oversee Continuous Monitoring activities and security posture
- Lead vulnerability management, static/dynamic analysis, and software composition analysis
- Own incident response, root cause analysis, and operational excellence
- Conduct disaster recovery planning, testing, performance tuning, and training
- Lead the annual third-party security audit (conducted by 3PAO)
Platform Resilience & Risk Mitigation
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of single points of failure across the entire platform—application, data, networking, and operational layers
- Design and implement robust mitigation strategies (redundancy, failover, fault isolation, chaos testing, etc.) to eliminate customer-impacting outages
- Develop architectural patterns that ensure continuity of operations even in rare or “black swan” scenarios
- Partner with Security and Infrastructure to model extreme-case risks and ensure the platform can withstand unexpected load, dependency failures, or regional disruptions
- Build a culture of proactive resiliency planning, encouraging teams to anticipate failure modes long before they become real-world events
Customer & Stakeholder Partnership
- Represent Net-Inspect as the technical leader in key customer and stakeholder discussions
- Design and estimate new projects directly with customers
- Support high-level escalations and cross-team technical problem solving
- Contribute to roadmap planning across engineering, product, and executive teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience
- 7 years of software engineering experience, including 2 years in engineering leadership
- Strong background in cloud-based SaaS architecture (Azure preferred)
- Proven success building secure, scalable, and reliable systems
- Deep familiarity with:
- App Services, Function Apps, and App Service Environments
- Azure Firewall and Application Gateway
- DNS, Networking, and Secure Routing
- Azure SQL, CosmosDB, Blob Storage
- Service Bus Queue and Redis
- Key Vault and App Configuration
- Azure DevOps Agents and Pipelines
- Experience leading teams in regulated environments (FedRAMP, DoD, ISO27001, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and delivery management skills
- U.S. citizen (required to work with sensitive customer data)
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years leading a SaaS platform through formal security audits
- Experience with Aerospace & Defense or manufacturing customers
