Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer

Schedule: 5x8 shifts 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM | 1–2 on-call nights per week
Pay Rate: $55.00/hr-$60/hr.
Duration: 13 week contract with possibility of extension
Job Overview
The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic echocardiography examinations to assist physicians in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. This role requires advanced technical proficiency, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The Sonographer will collaborate closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive transthoracic and Doppler echocardiographic studies
- Prepare patients for procedures and ensure proper positioning and comfort
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain echocardiography equipment
- Acquire and analyze high-quality diagnostic images
- Accurately document findings and measurements in Epic EMR
- Communicate preliminary observations to interpreting physicians
- Adhere to departmental protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
- Participate in on-call and holiday rotation as required
- Maintain professional competency through continuing education
Requirements
- BLS Certification (required)
- One of the following certifications required:
- ARRT
- ARDMS
- RDCS
- RVT / RCVT
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and hemodynamics
- Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
