In your role as a Manufacturing Excellence (ME) Specialist, you will be responsible for training, coaching, and assessing people across functions in our factory on Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma activities.  You will dive into our data to help us identify opportunities to improve our performance and processes. In addition, you will be a leader among our teams while performing traditional industrial performance & engineering responsibilities.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and lead projects to aid in continuous improvement, reducing losses and increasing efficiencies throughout the factory. 
  • Manage all industrial performance activities in the factory including but not limited to: 
o Capacity management
o Stoppage analysis
o Real-time data acquisition Leadership of Continuous Improvement              projects
  • Lead Focused Improvement (FI) training, coaching and assessment strategies (Six Sigma).
  • Provide clear, consistent and timely communication to key stakeholders on Continuous Improvement/Manufacturing Excellence initiatives.  
  • Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: 
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 3+ years of operations and continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment or related internship/co-op experience in manufacturing environment
OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing Management, Engineering or related discipline and 1+ years of operations and continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment or related internship/co-op experience in manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years’ experience leading Six Sigma or TPM projects.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Project Management experience preferred.
