Position Summary

One of our newest factories, located along the Virginia border, breathes new life into a former brewery, creating an innovative and technologically advanced pet food manufacturing facility. We have transformed the existing structure in Rockingham County to produce leading dry dog and cat food brands, including Purina Pro Plan®, Purina ONE®, and Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets®. With a strong focus on sustainability and safety, this facility is committed to doing our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing the actions of warehouse team members who perform receiving, storage and shipping functions in support of plant production operations. From you, this position requires strong leadership skills and working knowledge of warehouse and distribution functions, as you will ensure warehouse operations are safe, sanitary, efficient, and cost effective. You will mentor staff, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure operating, and safety standards are being met.

*This position will require availability to work night shift, 6pm – 6am*

• Lead warehouse team members- overseeing receiving, storage and shipping functions in support of plant production operations.
• Monitor direct reports, complete performance reviews and warehouse productivity assessments from labor management system.
• Resolve personnel, mechanical, operational, and resource-related issues.
• Mentor and coach warehouse team members and set development goals.
• Perform various clerical and administrative duties such as time approval and staffing planning.
• Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 2 years experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or transportation environment
• 1 years of supervisory/leadership experience

The approximate range for this position is $64,000 - $94,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
