Position Summary
Since 1997, our factory has been a leading producer of the nation's cat litter supply. Located on Tidy Cat Road, our 40-acre plant site is seamlessly connected to a clay mine, enabling efficient mining, processing, packaging, and shipping. Operating around the clock, we mass produce conventional and clumping cat litter, supplying the mid-Atlantic region with nearly a third of a million tons annually. Our culture of continuous improvement drives Tidy Cats® product innovations, revolutionizing the cat litter category with LightWeight® litter, combining strength with half the weight. We’re also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Processing Trainee, you will be responsible for conducting safe and efficient Processing operations. You will perform quality checks and troubleshoot equipment issues. You will be responsible for operating all equipment in assigned Processing areas. You will also monitor equipment and make necessary adjustments during operations.
This position will work night shift (7pm-7am) on a rotating weekly schedule with every other weekend off.
- Operate all equipment within assigned area of Processing department while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards
- Meet production targets as required
- Maintain sanitation standards to limit equipment breakdowns
- Perform all quality checks as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance on processing equipment
- Operate mobile equipment necessary for processing operations
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 6 months of experience in a fast-paced and performance measured environment
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $27.97. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
