Duties
- Work with children in a one-on-one and group setting through meaningful, hands-on learning activities
- Assist with implementing the lesson plans the Lead Teachers create that are developmentally appropriate and differentiated for all skill levels and student interests
- Facilitate planned math, literacy, and science learning activities that allow students the opportunity to communicate orally and in writing
- Use daily mealtimes with the class as a method to incorporate learning and social skills
- Assist with following schedules and routines for the children
- Promote and model a positive and respectful learning environment that focuses on positive redirection
- Establish trust and bond with the children and families in which you will serve
- Communicate with parents about children’s day
- Maintain a safe and healthy classroom by following all center health and safety guidelines and rules
- Demonstrate high standards of professionalism and ethics
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience working in early childhood
