Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Testing & Customer Compliance Specialist to ensure our products consistently meet customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality expectations. This role bridges the gap between product development, production, and customer requirements—ensuring compliance from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Product Testing & Quality Verification
- Conduct physical, chemical, and performance testing of products in accordance with customer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain testing records, results, and reports to support compliance and traceability.
- Review and verify product labeling, packaging, and documentation to ensure alignment with customer requirements.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve product non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actions.
Customer Compliance
- Interpret and implement customer compliance manuals, testing protocols, and packaging guidelines.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer compliance inquiries and audits.
- Monitor regulatory and retailer-specific requirements to ensure ongoing compliance (e.g., PFAS, Prop 65, fiber content, care labeling, import/export requirements).
- Coordinate with third-party testing labs to schedule, submit, and track product testing.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify opportunities to streamline testing and compliance processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare compliance documentation for customer submissions and internal audits.
- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on customer compliance updates and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Product Development, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience in product testing, quality control, or customer compliance in a manufacturing or consumer goods environment (textiles/apparel preferred).
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and retailer compliance programs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems; experience with ERP systems a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
