Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
- Schedule appointments efficiently using OpenDental
- Verify insurance benefits and eligibility
- Collect payments and perform collections accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Manage patient records and documentation review with precision, including medical history updates and treatment plans
- Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately
- Handle intake procedures for new patients, including data entry and insurance verification
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dental office
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology
- Familiarity with OpenDental preferred but not required
- Ability to handle medical administrative support tasks efficiently while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing skills (10 key typing)
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
