We are seeking a senior level Trusts and Estates Paralegal who brings experience, ownership, and attention to detail to every matter.
What you will do
- Manage and organize case files, calendars, and deadlines
- Prepare Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies, and Living Wills
- Support probate, administration, and accounting proceedings in Surrogate’s Court
- Coordinate and attend will signings
- Maintain case management systems and track billable time
- Communicate with clients and families with professionalism and empathy
- Provide day to day administrative and legal support to attorneys
- 3 plus years of law firm experience in Trusts and Estates
- Strong knowledge of wills, trusts, estate funding, and file management
- Experience with Surrogate’s Court procedures required
- Familiarity with estate tax returns is a plus
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking skills
- Strong writing, grammar, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel required
- Experience with NetDocs is a plus
- Paralegal certificate is a plus
- Proactive, takes ownership, and anticipates needs
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Team oriented with a high level of professionalism
- Committed to delivering a strong client experience
- Salary up to 115K
- Monday through Friday 9 to 5 with flexibility for overtime
- Hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days remote
