Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Sanford, FL

Pay:$18

1st shift

530-400pm, 10hr shift from Monday - Thursday with 30mins lunch. Optional OT on Fridays. Weekends off.

SUMMARY: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and processing all materials purchased by KEMCO or supplied by the customer, in accordance to KEMCO's receiving procedure. This individual is also responsible for preparing and shipping packages, utilizing software from FEDEX, UPS and Common Carrier trucking companies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive and verify material against supplier documentation and KEMCO ERP system.
• Accurately locate and retrieve material for jobs and inventory
• Able to use digital piece counting scale.
• Ability to carry out material handling duties using a pallet jack or forklift.
• Ability to package and ship small packages.
• Replenish stock from master stock location.
• Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
• Must have good reading, writing and verbal communications skills.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in math, analytical abilities and problem-solving
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Frequently required to stand
• Frequently required to walk
• Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs.
• Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
• Occasionally required to use ladder, bend, stoop.
• Occasionally exposure to outside weather conditions
• Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
