Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer leads complex process development and continuous improvement initiatives across advanced electronics and energy storage product lines. This role partners closely with production teams to optimize and validate manufacturing processes that improve quality, safety, and productivity. The position collaborates cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations leadership to support new product introductions and long-term manufacturing strategy. This is a highly visible role that provides technical leadership, mentorship, and hands-on problem solving within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, repeatability, and compliance with regulated quality standards
- Create and implement tooling, jigs, and fixtures supporting precision assembly and machining operations
- Provide daily technical support to production, troubleshooting equipment, process variation, and nonconforming material
- Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste, improve workflow, and increase throughput
- Analyze manufacturing costs and recommend process improvements or automation opportunities
- Lead root cause and corrective action investigations
- Improve and standardize process documentation and work instructions
- Support transition of new products from engineering to full-scale production, including validation and tooling readiness
- Initiate and implement engineering changes
- Partner with operations leadership on long-term manufacturing strategy and capacity planning
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians to promote technical excellence
- Use data analysis and digital manufacturing tools to drive process optimization and capital justification
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
- 5–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries
- Experience with new product introduction and process validation
- Strong background developing process routings, work instructions, and PFMEA
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in an engineering discipline
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Experience in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing
- Robotics or automation experience
- CAD design experience
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work standard business hours and support occasional overtime. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand or sit for extended periods as needed.

This role may involve exposure to export-controlled or ITAR-regulated data. Applicants must meet U.S. work authorization requirements.
Work Environment
Combination of office and manufacturing floor exposure. Noise levels may vary.
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
