Shift: 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Pay: 20-22/hr., Based on the level of experience

Primary duties consist of tending, maintaining, and repairing EDM machines that alter the internal and external surfaces of diamond wheels and workpieces of diamond tools to specifications.

Summary:
Primary duties consist of tending, maintaining, and repairing EDM machines that alter the internal and external surfaces of diamond wheels and workpieces of diamond tools to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Review work orders or blueprint to determine dimensions and tolerances specifications of the piece, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements.
- Measure, mark, and record dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures
- Observe the EDM process and estimates the amount of necessary machining, move controls to adjust the depth of wheel cut, the angle between the workpiece and EDM machine, and the feed rate.
- Removes and inspects finished work pieces to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as preset gauges, calipers, micrometers, and load test equipment.
- Maintains and repairs all machinery in the department
- Replaces worn equipment using hand tools
- Dresses wheels using preset or manual dressing devices
- Perform needed adjustments to meet goals assigned by the Production Supervisor
- Oversee the usage of materials to reduce waste.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Above average mechanical aptitude
- Machining experience preferred
- CNC Background, Preferred
- Ability to interpret written work orders and blueprints
- Basic math skills and the ability to measure, required
- Ability to perform metric conversions, required
- Ability to stand, perform extensive repetitive use of upper extremities, with both forward reaching and finger dexterity and reading fine print, required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, required
